LINKS is dedicated to providing information, training and assistance to parents of children with disabilities, their professional partners, and their communities. We are committed to listening and learning from families and encouraging full participation in community life by people of all age and ability.
OUR VISION
To ensure that every parent and family who has a child with a special need has access to information, education, outreach, and support in a culturally competent environment and to empower them to be advocates for themselves, their children, and their families.
OUR GOALS
To improve educational outcomes for children with disabilities by increasing the knowledge and skills of families throughout the Mat-Su Valley about disability specific conditions and the educational needs of their children.
Strive to leave no child behind by broadening the demographics of the service capacity of the LINKS Mat-Su Parent Resource Center.
Reach all families with children who experience disabilities who live in all communities of the Mat-Su Valley and those living in remote villages with information and family support.
Create linkages among families and educators, and state, local and community organizations, including Tribal organizations, to improve the service delivery system, foster interagency collaboration, and reduce duplication of effort.
Use formative, summative, and participatory methods to evaluate the effectiveness of CPRC activities and continually improve services.
